The Challenge
The client required a column grid wide enough for modern racking systems and forklift maneuvering, on soil with a comparatively low bearing capacity.
Our Solution
Our structural team ran a detailed geotechnical assessment and designed a raft-and-pile hybrid foundation, paired with a long-span steel truss roof to eliminate mid-bay columns.
The Result
The final layout achieved 30% more usable racking density than the client's original brief, within the original approved budget.
